when going out to eat, what do you consider good service? Good enough to deserve a good or even exceptional tip? What do you consider a good or exceptional tip? What does your server have to do to deserve it?

We went into a nearby sushi place for a late lunch while our clothes were drying at the landromat. When the server came, she told us that they were serving the "dinner menu" (the same stuff at higher prices) since it was after 2:30. I asked what time it was and she told me 2:35.

The meal I had planned to order cost $5 more. What time do you think is reasonable for restuarants to switch to "dinner"? Would you have stayed and eaten there? Would you ever go back?

I was taking an order from this family and they asked me if we had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. As I read back their order to them everything went fine until I said peanut jutter and belly sandwich! I did not realize that's what I said until I said it again. Is that stupid or what?

I have been hearing a lot of things lately about people in restaurants doing all kinds of disgusting things with the food. Such as putting bodily fluids in the foods and not washing there hands. I even read a story about some burger restaurant employees using the burger buns to "scate" on the floor with and then giving it to the customers. Are these just rare exceptions or does nastiness like this happen more often than not in restaurants??
