Is it true that at fast food resturants and other fancy ones like rubys diner and Cucinacucina; that if u mess with them or are just clueless, that they will do things to ur food; like spit in it and stuff?

I know some people who work in restaurants that do stuff to the food, but only when the customer is TOTALLY nasty (like when it's worth the risk) and really deserves it. I mean, come on...if you yell at your waittress or call your waiter an incompetent idiot, they're probably justified in messing with your food.
My friend worked at a restaurant, which we'll just leave nameless for now, that served appetizer chips and bread. It was kind of unspoken between the servers but when some of the bread "accidentally" fell on the floor, it was picked up and placed in a special floorbread container that was served to particularly nasty customers. It's a chain restaurant, so I can imagine it goes on in other places too. Maybe not to the degree in the movie "Waiting," but you'd better believe that if you're rude enough, your waiters will mess with your food. So be nice =)

I agree with the above comment about the mentality of the staff. Waiting totally grossed me out...hopefully you dont go to a resturant that has demented workers like that. But in reality it depends on how personal the waiter takes criticism & how loser-ish the people preparing your food act.

If you suspect that there is any chance the peole woprking in a restaurant might mess with your food DO NOT GIVE THAT RESTAURANT YOUR BUSINESS!!
When you eat at a restaruant you are give your trust as well as you rmoney. You deserve clean, sanitary food. It is unethical and just plain terrible to do anything to anyones food for any reason. If a customer is a problem then be a amn about it and hit them in the face don't be a sniveling coward and hide by doing something to thier food! How low can you get.
Owned a restaruant at one time. WE once fired a fellow for not washing his hands when he used th bathroom! If you work in food service you have a responsibility to serve clean food.

I don't know, but I read about it all the time and I really hate to go out because you don't know what people are doing to your food before you get it. I would think if people did this and other employees saw them, they would speak up and that person would be fired on the spot. It is disgusting to think that someone would really do that, but I know they do. Some people are just sick.
