Burger King or Taco Bell???

My partner and I would like to take my parents to Xmas Lunch rather than have them spend the day at home.

We are willing to travel and cost is not the main consideration (although it IS a consideration, lol). We are looking for a seafood buffet, NOT a set menu.

We used to go to The Ranch Hotel (was El Rancho years ago) at Marsfield, but they've changed to a set menu this year, and it sounds very ordinary. Such a shame, it was a great way to spend Xmas Day!

So, somthing about that standard would be good ~ nice but not the Four Seasons, lol.

Any suggestions welcome :-)

My roommate and I have and I was wonder if we'll continue to long after Taco Bell drops their "fourthmeal" marketing. Some day in the future when we say fourthmeal we'll need to explain to someone what we mean! Ah... fourthmeal!

Some of these places, I wonder if they're even around anymore.

New Orleans: the Holiday Inn restaurant near the downtown area, it was the nice one. I had some great Red Beans and Rice with sausage.

San Francisco: The Sears restaurant outside the Wyndham.

Providence, Rhode Island: Hemenway's.

I'm taking my girlfriend out for a date (birthday) and I want to know what restaurants I can go to for dinner (affordable). It must be in walking distance (.5 miles or so) of pier 39. Drinking is not an option and again it must be affordable ($18 max per person). I look forward to your responses.
