All the McDonald's restaurants in the Majic Vally of Idaho charge $. 25 for a 12 ounce cup of water. How is it in other places in the USA ?

I'm in California & they don't charge for water, unless it's bottled water. The only thing I can think of is there's a water shortage in your area or perhaps that particular McDonald's is franchised and the owner/manager wants the people to buy soda because they really make their money off of that & by charging for water (to recover costs for the lid, cup and straw) they may deter people from ordering water at all...

A cup of water is free in my area. However I've seen people order water but then they fill their cup with soda. Perhaps that's why they charge plus it pays for the cup and straw.

Only if you don't order anything else with it because people take advantage of free water and the cup costs money.
When I worked at Taco Bell, we would have people drive up all the time wanting six free waters and nothing else.

a cup of water anywhere in maien is free no matter what fast food restaraunt you go to but bottled water cost money

If you order nothing but water with ICE, it costs $.05 at my McDonald's. If you order food, then it is FREE.

in ireland 4 a cup of water and ice is free, ut a bottle is 1euro 60cent

it depends which country u r in.. for a cup of water in my country its free.. you may like to get extra sauce n its free too.. when i went to asutralia, i had to pay $$ for extra sauce.
