My partner was supposed to be on a contract as of December 2006. She was a grill cook at a restaurant in Picton, NSW. After 10/11 months of trying to "get her contract", she was finally told she was going to get put on a normal wage, for eg, hourly rates.

You see, she was working the minimum 76 hour fortnight plus on average, working 3 to 4, sometimes 8 hours overtime each fortnight.

For 11 months, she was only getting paid for 76 hours, and even then she was being underpaid about $60 to $70 per fortnight.

She went to industrial relations about it and they have come to the conclusion she is owed just over $1500. My stepson is owed a little over $2500.

The business has now been sold and my partner has been working for the new owner (he is a former employe), since November 19.

My partner has been getting harrassed, intimidated and humiliated by the new (and former) owner because she took a stand for her and everyone elses entitlements.

What do you think is right?

My partner and I would like to take my parents to Xmas Lunch rather than have them spend the day at home.

We are willing to travel and cost is not the main consideration (although it IS a consideration, lol). We are looking for a seafood buffet, NOT a set menu.

We used to go to The Ranch Hotel (was El Rancho years ago) at Marsfield, but they've changed to a set menu this year, and it sounds very ordinary. Such a shame, it was a great way to spend Xmas Day!

So, somthing about that standard would be good ~ nice but not the Four Seasons, lol.

Any suggestions welcome :-)

I work for a gambling treatment program and would like to establish an up-to-date list of pubs/hotels/bars in Sydney that do not have pokie machines.

So any names of pubs without pokies would be great (particularly if you have been there recently).

Or, if anyone has any other ideas on how to get this information (other than calling every pub in Sydney!) that would also be great!
