On Fitzroy Street, on the way to St. Kilda Pier is a place called Monroe's. You can eat inside or out. It's a great way to experience some truly authentic Australian meals. Porterhouse steak, kangaroo, oysters, and more.

Here's more info or Monroe's and other places: http://www.visitvictoria.com/displayObject.cfm/objectid.31B075ED-9BED-43E2-A83BC98A3DC69DD9/vvt.vhtml
