#siam orchard (thai mid range price)williamstown just out of melb.
#tutto bene (italian mid price range best rissotto)south bank
#burmese house(burmese/burma,one of our favs med price range)richmond-short tram ride from flinders st station.
these are just a few ive been to,melbourne is loaded with good resturants so im sure you'll have no trouble finding some great food.

On Fitzroy Street, on the way to St. Kilda Pier is a place called Monroe's. You can eat inside or out. It's a great way to experience some truly authentic Australian meals. Porterhouse steak, kangaroo, oysters, and more.
