When you go to a restaurant would you pay more (by about 25%) to get better, faster service?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of any pizzeria that serves pizza 'New York' style, kind of like the famous Lombardi's. Specifically, I'm hoping there's one in the East Bay area of Northern California. I love pizza but am getting tired of the chain pizzas and other variations like deep dish Chicago style. I have never tried New York style so I would love to try that.

I'm thinking of sending Gift Certificate to a family of 4 to dine out in Kelona over the Christmas Season. The Children are 6 and 8 and I wont them to be able to "dress up in their best" for a special meal but enjoy the meal too! I was there last summer and they were so good to me that I'd like to send them a special 'thank you".

Any ideas would be appreciated?

Rolls as well as salads are handled by hand, not tongs. French fries that fall onto the counter are simply picked up and put back onto the plate. Servers grab part of the appetizers off the plate and eat it before serving it to the customers. I hate my job because of this because I feel it is unethical and potentially dangerous. Am I overreacting?

In my area, Grand Forks-North Dakota, we used to have 3-4 locations. Now, there's 1 and that looks to be closing too. In Moorhead and Fargo, 86miles south, ALL of their locations are toast. I conversed with a friend of mine and most of the locations in his town were closed as well. Weird...

My 18th birthday is in December and I am inviting about 12-14 people to go out to eat. But after we eat, I have no clue what to do then. Some of my friends will still be 17 and some will be 18 and 19 years old, so it would be hard to go to a dance club. What are other options we could do while being dressed francy?

Since the Torrance Crossroads location changed their hours I've been looking for a coffeehouse in the greater Los Angeles area that's open late. I've heard in the past that there's a 24hr Starbucks in the Valley -- is that true? I'd be grateful for the location of this Starbucks or any other late-night coffeehouses in LA. Thanks.

This is for a 4th year wedding aniversary. We both like steak, chicken, italian and so on... I'm trying to find a nice place with a neat atmosphere that would have good food, is classy, and would be fun. We're both 27 years old.

Thanks!

I recently moved to the area and so far I have not been impressed. The only really good pizza I've had is Home Run Inn. Unos, Lou Malnati's and Aurelio's were horrible. Giordano's is alright. Are there any good mom and pop joints? Or is Chicago Pizza just hype?
