When you go to a restaurant would you pay more (by about 25%) to get better, faster service?

No. I expect to get good, fast service all the time. It's not something I'd pay "extra" for. If I don't get good fast service on my first visit to a restaurant, I never go back. I eat out every day.

No as it depends on where you go and what you want. Generally when you go to a restaurant you should be prepared to wait a bit as you want to enjoy your meal and conversation with who you are with. Super fast service? Then go fast food. Imagine you sit down, ordered a drink and your food comes out in 3 minutes. Most would feel that the server doesn't care and is just trying to get them out as fast as possible so they can seat another table to make more money. No the big tip goes to the server who can judge what speed you want to go.... quick lunch fast or dinner with the girlfriend. The one who is pleasant and around because the speed of the food can depend on the kitchen, how busy it is, etc. not the server. One tip (pun intended) for better service..... it's not necessarily the money that will get you awesome service... its how you act when you order.

No, unless something REALLY EXTREME is going on, I couldn't care less about the quality or speed of the service. Eating out, to me, is just a nice break . . . and if the help wants to sometimes sit down and also take a break for a few minutes, it's ok with me.
