Does anybody know of a good Greek food restaurant in San Francsisco. Do they have gyros and are they good? I'm really craving gyros right now.

I hear that they are paid as little as $2.00 an hour---talk about cheap labor!! Are the waitstaff on a type of contract basis or they bonified employees? I realize the waitresses and waiters are able to keep most of the tips and do very, very well but I can't see how an employer can get away with paying so little while there is a minimum wage in effect.

Sometimes I just can't resist those mints. I gorge on them before the waiter even makes it over to my table, and then I am no longer hungry. Should I still tip the waiter in this event? I always do because the tables are stocked with mints so well, but I just want to make sure that this is necessary.

Any type of food and any price range. We have eaten at all the norms, Cactus Club, Milstones, Boathouse etc, we really like Hy's steakhouse, Gotham, and Capones Restaurant and Jass Club, but would like somewhere new to go. Where do you recommend and why?

People say the French have the best food but when you have beef in Britain it tastes of beef, lamb in Britain tastes of lamb, pork tastes of pork. Here in New England (Massachusetts in particular), one sees two sandwich shops with the D'Angelo name. One has a square green logo saying "d'angelo" with an L made up of a sub. They are very similar to Subway and sell a pretty ordinary menu of subs. The other has a dark red logo saying "D'ANGELO" topped with a half loaf of bread (evoking a sub) with "Grilled Sandwiches" appended to the moniker. They are owned by Papa Gino's now and hold the dangelos.com website. (I cannot find a website for the other d'angelo). They sell subs but aren't sub-centric.

Wikipedia has a piece where they describe the D'Angelo Grilled Sandwich shop precisely, but they provide the logo of the other shop. But this logo does not appear on the dangelos.com website.

Are these two entirely independent chains, or one chain using different brands? If the former, how is it that two company that sell similar products in the same area can use nearly identical names? Is there a licensing agreement?
