My favourite restaurant si DC Coast in Washington.

The restaurant itself is really classy, we sat on the balcony overlooking the main restaurant. it was great and the food was outstanding. I had a whole baked sea bass with a Chinese theme. Fantastic!!

I would recommend it to anyone!

That depends on where I am.

Ottawa: Dick's Drive-In and Dairy Dip (www.dickshamburgers.com). Mexicali Rosa's comes a close second, partly because my sister-in-law once co-managed one of their locations.

Toronto: Arby's at the Eaton Centre. Burger Shack at Eglinton West & Oriole Parkway comes a close second. (Twenty years ago I would have said Xanadu/Houdini's at Eglinton and Mount Pleasant, but it became a '50s diner called DeSoto's in 1987 and has since been demolished.)

Mississauga: Krispy Kreme (the only one left in Ontario).

Commander's Palace, New Orleans, La. Consistantly rated as one of the 5 best restaurants in the world - and not as expensive as you might think, if you're not a wine drinker.

Max's in San Francisco. Great corned beef hash, excellent coffee. No stupid questions.
Not a good place for a diet, but a good place to eat in.
