I thought Nano and Video both ran on the same software, so it doesn't make sense to me that it would only work with the Nano? Has anyone tried it with the iPod Video? Seems really foolish for Apple to limit it to the iPod Nano, because everyone with the Video is screwed if they want this product! Who knows the answer???

A Friend of mine, Fern, said when she bought an MP3 at walmart. They gave her some sort of link to a free music downloads site. I forget what it was. Has anyone heard of it? She said she's not sure what it is anymore.

with the advent of SACD (super audio CD), DVD audio, Mp3 players and future technology such as HD-DVD and Blu-ray DVD, what future does the humble audio CD have? does it make sense to invest on a CD collection when you're not sure new CD's and CD players will be around 2-3 years from now?

Specifically, I just bought a JVC AM/FM CD Player with a USB port. I am not "overly" committed to iTunes, I only recently opened an iTunes account, so I don't have a ton of songs purchased there in my Library. If not iTunes, what would you recommend as a music download service? Yahoo? Napster? or? (I'm not really sure what is out there.) I kind of like Yahoo? It seems easy to use and is well organized.

My new JVC Car player has: USB Memory Slot for Music File Playback (MP3/WMA) Up to 1GB

And, accepts:

MP3/WMA, CD/CD-R/CD-RW Compatible with ID3/WMA Tag

THE REAL "THRUST" OF THE QUESTION HERE IS, "Can I transfer music from iTunes (or some other music download service) to play else?" (Looking for an easy answer first regarding iTunes, and if that's not "possible" what's the best alternative?)

Ipod mini wheel, popped out. We took my sisters Ipod mini to Best Buy, they sent it to their services people. Got a call back saying the wheel is not supported under the one year warrenity. Called Apple, they acted dumb and said the wheel repair is a grey area and wearn't positive if it could be fixed. 1 year warrenty ends in September. Does anyone know how to fix the wheel, Best Buy told us it could be fixed for $168.

I have songs that I purchased from Wal-Mart.com and MSN.com and I want them on my iPod. I get an error message when I try to do it from Windows Media Player itself and iTunes won't turn them into mp3s because they are protected. Any help is appreciated.

I press all the buttons but it doesn't do anything, and I made sure it wasn't on hold or anything. Any ideas why it does this? And is there away to fix it then, other than to wait until it runs out of battery power and turns off itself?
