Yes. The iRiver U10/Clix are the BEST flash players.

The iRivers have great battery life and are really easy to use.

Some models are more prone to freezing than iPods.

All models have that great drag and drop functionality for mp3 files that just isn't there on the iPod.

A lot have line in recording and some even have optical line in recording, which means that they value the consumer and not the record industry.

They are starting to sell out now though.

They have dropped the optical line in on their new models.

I have an iPod, but if I was to buy anything else it would have been an iRiver because of the record functions.

Their sound quality is also better than iPod.

In the end though, the iPod was easier to use on the move (not to fill up though) and I don't use the record function that much.

I think that it is a far more feasible alternative than the Creative machines, because it has two genuine differences: record abilities and better sound quality.

I like it. These are the features that it includes: photo storage, FM radio, song storage of course, document storage, and it has color. When I bought it, it was cheaper than a regular ipod but I got more from it. I also like how it looks and the thin size of it. Most of all, you can just use Windows Meadia Player to upload your files onto it. No hassle with converting to itunes and what not.

Additionally, I forgot that it has recording abilities. I used it twice so far, one time was for a lecture and another I just wanted to try it out to see how I sound. I also wanted you to keep in mind that many people don't know much about the other mp3 players out there and they blindly think that ipod is the best one. My younger cousin has a zen and it seems to be ok. My other older cousin has an ipod and he seems to be annoyed with the conversion and the synch. Besides the popularity, I don't see what's so great about it. They get scratches easily and their covers are expensive.

dude what adam said just makes me wanna kick him THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT ipods are that they are sleek and shiny. 1. they do not have awesome sound quality. 2. people only want em cuz they are popular. 3. see thats the thing they "look cool" so what would youi rather have a super coollooking mp3 player with crappy sound quality or a cool looking mp3 player (creative) that has extremley good sound quality? also yes iriver is a good brand but if you want better audio quality stick with creative

yes i think it is after all it is a common brand for MP3s and i see a lot of people having them (although i have sansa) like my brother...but i think the best way to find a good mp3 is the number of songs u want and the gigs (I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE GOT THAT 30 Gs)
