I was planning on purchasing the 40GB version of the PS3 within the next couple of days. I was wondering how much could you save on this version. All I want to do is play games. Will 40GB be enough. I know it isn't BC either, so are their any other disadvantages? Thanks.

okay so i have a couple questions because i keep hearing diffrerent things about the ps3... okay soo i hear that they are region free is that true? if i have japanese games for ps3 will they play on an american PS3? and i heard that ps3 does not allow you to play PS2 games on it? is that true? and if i have a japanese PS2 game will it play on an american PS3?? okay thank you!!

they both go online.
but a ps3 network is free.
xbox 360 breaks easliy.
they both have wireless controllers.
they both can play vidoes,music,and see photos on them.

I have alot of games for the PS2, and i am happy with it; however i saw a game previewed for PS3 and i want to get the game really bad, i am also anticipating an upcoming game. So over all there are really only 2 games i would buy for the PS3. I really want these games so i must get the PS3 in order to play them, but i am concerned. The money isn't a big issue, but i would like to knock the price down a bit. If i sell a few old unwanted games and my PS2 all that money will go towards the PS3, but what about those games left over? Will those be playable on the PS3? What are the perks to PS3?

Really if i can make enough money from selling my PS2 and a few games, and if my games will play on the PS3 i will be more than happy to get it.

okay ive seen alot of videos on youtube of ps3 and 360 comparison and honestly i think the ps3 is ALOT better but there were a few things i was not sure about (not price since there both pretty much the same now) 1. xbox live charges 2. Ring of death and 5% failure rate 3. no built in wifi ps3 1. no OVERLORD 2. less games 3. sixaxis (reason being because say im in the process of lying down and the controller moves or falls something could happen that made me lose the game 4. 360 has good online gaming that i know havent tried ps3

I just got a refurbished PS3 because my first one broke, and i was wondering is it normal for the ps3 to make 3 beeping sounds while shutting off, by the way when it does this it takes longer than usual to shut off. It only did it once when i was shuting it off. My first PS3 did that once in a while to. Could it be because I didn't sign out of the playstation netowrk or something else because it seems fine.

Ok, easy 10 points here, I just need a couple of questions answered:

1). Can my TV run a PS3 effectively?

That's the TV I use

2). How do I plug in the PS3? Does it plug in using SCART like the PS2?

3). Do I connect my PS3 online in the same way I did for the PS2, I have a modem/router (not sure which, but it connects with the PS2 fine and lets me go online with it) in my room, right next to the TV & PS2 (where PS3 would go).

4). Do you get a cord to connect your PS3 online with the package, or do you need to buy it seperately like the PS2?

Hi. I'm treating myself to a HDtv for christmas. Initially i planned on a samsung but after prescribing to "Which?" have opted for the panasonic 32". (It was awarded "best buy" and looks pretty impressive). But in the near future i plan on buying a ps3. I dont know whether to buy a 50Hz tv or stretch my budget to a 100Hz. I heard that 50Hz is actually better for watching tv. Does anyone play a ps3 on a 50Hz tv? does it still look amazing? Also does anyone have a 100Hz tv and wish they got a 50Hz?
