is da ps3 price ever going down?

The prices on the PS3 have already dropped. The 80GB and 60GB model dropped to $499 and the 40GB PS3 was introduced and it costs $399.
I'm not sure if Sony will drop the price anytime soon, but something tells me that Sony may drop the price on the 40GB PS3 next year by $50-$100 dollars. And the 80GB PS3 may drop as well, but I'm sure because Sony cut prices on the PS3 last year.

It has already went down. And dude, u shouldn't be complaining about $399 PS3. The xbox 360 20gb in canada is $399. it almost like sony is giving a blu-ray player and all the extra addon u would need to buy on 360 for free. At the same has it built in so u dont have ugly addon an wires sticking out ur console.$399 or $499 is a great deal. i would have evn gotten it at the price of $659 for the 20gb model. the 40gb doesnt play PS2 games so i would have gotten that at like $500. If u look at it, PS3 is a blu-ray player.Most blu-ray player are $1000. Its also a super/gaming PC. That like $3000. It also a playstion(game console.) and can play its own games. The PS3 is a gaming / super computer because it's has the technolghy of a super computer. Scientist are using the PS3 cell as an enexpensive way to use it in todays super computers. Gameing PC because u can install stuff on it like lenux. all u need is a HDD able to hold it. The from there u can play PC games on it. (like halo 3 and bioshock.) also when buying a PS3 u nvr have to worry about ur console being outdated like a PC. U can download the latest firmware update and ur set to go. The PS3 price is actulaly $4200. the $200 cam from feture like wifi blutooth tech and internet browsing and so on. Sony knows $4200 is to much for a game console so they found a cheaper solution and still being able to maintain the blu-ray technology. Sony is really smart and just want people to be happy. the found out that $659 for a console was to much when no one was buying it so they foung cheaper solutions that do they same job and was able to have it at a cheaper price. It took work but i think it will pay off. So buy PS3 and enjoy it. Trust me, now that there is some good games, you wont be dissapointed!

It just went down recently. Now: -
40GB is $399.99
80GB is $499.99
It's not going any lower any time soon. Unless there is a new PS3 model coming up.

just went down to $399- ever since it went down, it has tripled in sales

dont think so anytime soon. but i couldent w8 and got mine on saturday couse it was my B day. YAYAYAY
