So, my husband and I are getting our son a PS3 system for xmas and usually I am pretty good at finding deals but I really cannot find anything out there right now from a non-ebay source...

Do you have any ideas where there are any deals or maybe a bundle where another game or controller is tossed in for the $500?

FYI - we already have a flat-screen so that deal is not gonna work and I already know about Sony's free 5 blue-ray's....

To connect to online play, doest the playstation pick up on the signal or do you need to connect it with a wire??

there is just one thing that will make me choose between these two. Browsing internet. Now only ps3 has a browser, and i want to connect to internet using my phone gprs connection using bluetooth or usb cable(in my windows pc i can create a new dialup connection,right click and select the modem as bluetooth and give the phone number(*99#) and make pc connect to dialup gprs connection through bluetooth). Now is it possible to give the settings(dial up number-*99#) in the ps3 to use the gprs connection using bluetooth in the phone and browse in its browser.

And i am planning to buy a flat screen 29" tv(not LCD) for gaming purpose.Will the xbox 360 or ps3(whichever i buy depending upon your recommnedations) work on such tv?

internet browsing is only the deciding point with me, what about wii internet settings, if the ps3 cannot connect to internet using gprs connection on phone, which one shall i get depending on your experience.xbox360,wii,ps3?

It would seem logical that the 80GB should be more desireable BUT it isn't, the 60GB are selling for $1000 on ebay, can someone please tell me why? There must be something it can do that the others can't.

I'm planning on getting a 40 gig PS3 along with rock band. But the 40 gig model only has 2 ports. The PS3 version doesnt come with a Hub, and once they fix the compatibility issues with the GH3 les paul controller I should have 4 controllers running. I dont want to have to pay 25 bucks to get the special rockband hub. So I was wondering if just any regular PC hub would work. Could someone who already has a PS3 try this, or does anyone just know?

I am running 3.71 m33-3. I need help because every time i try to run the program I get the error that says "Could Not Start Game". Then it spews out some random numbers. I've tried keeping it in GAME folder, and the homebrew running in 3.71 kernel. I've tried putting it in GAME150 with it in kernel 1.50 mode. and all combinations of all of them. So please help.

Ok so I just got a 40gb ps3 yesterday and spent the last 38 hours downloading content, mostly demos.. Now my uncle wants to buy it from me and I can go buy myself the 80gb version. So all that time spent downloading the demos am I going to have to do it again or can I somehow get those demos on an external hard drive?

I have been trying to find The Dukes of Hazzard:Racing for Home for ps2 and I am at my wits end. Do you know of any place on the internet that specializes in rare Ps2 games. I bought a PS3, and 2 of my cousins and 2 of my friends have 360's. I'm constantly told 360 has better graphics. I've even read on websites like IGN and 1up that a lot of 360/Ps3 games look better on the 360 than the Ps3.

i just hooked my ps3 to the system with the red and white plugs, how do i get it to vibrate when i shoot a gun or an grenade explodes in a shooting game? it is 600 watts with 8" subwoofer, 4 surround sound speaker and a center speaker
i dont want it to BE SO LOUD that it will vibrate but like how do i get it to vibrate without the highest volume. im just confused... this is my 1st time having a surround sound system

Im thinking about asking for a ps3 for christmas. i got some questions!
1. Is the 40g just like the 80 but with a smaller drive?
2. Can my psp be hooked up to the 40? Can the 40 hold a memory stick?
3. What is the usb cable the 40 comes with for?
4. Is the hard drive just like the memory card on the ps2 just a drive instead of card?
5. Can a mermory stick I use on my psp have games saved to it on the ps3 and then ut on the psp?
