Cell Phones & Plans - October 2007

Originally I bought a LG Cu500 cell phone when it was still Cingular. I still have the Cingular logo on it. My cousin has the same phone and his phone already switch to the AT&T logo. Does anyone know when At&t going to convert all cell phones to the new logo?

Please don't respond and tell me to go to a free ringtone site. Is the LG3280 tracfone capable of getting ringtones by SMS. I tried everything.

umm yeah like 4 days ago our phone line stopped working. in the morning it worked but later that day when i came home from school the phone were not working. i would try to call some1 with the house phones and it didnt work there wasnt any tone. i tried unplugging it and plugging it back and still nothing. we called our house number with cell phone and some other people picked up. so does any1 has any ideas wat might of happened or wat i can do. phone service is at&t is dat matters or not

i have a fido phone on prepaid and its free after 6 and on weekends but i love to talk on the phone ]and it alsways cost my min and i alaways have to buy a new card. do u think if i set the time to 6 when ever i wnna tlk on the phone it would work and not cost money cause when i 1st bought it and opend the box and turned it on it says set time and date.

It's a daily thing at the moment. I never hear it ring, just get the 'missed call'.
I don't like calling back missed calls, as they always turn out to be sales.
Does anyone have any advice?

Everytime I try to go to a website it says, that an error has occurred and that I'm not capable of accessing that URL. Why does it say that? Isn't a URL a web address? If not how can I go to a website using my cellphone?

Recently, I have bought a cover for my Razor cell phone. When I put the cover onto the phone, the reception immediately goes down to two bars, one and then sometimes none. Why does this happen? And is there anything I can do about it?

i dropped my phone in some water and immediately took it out a dried it, it seems to work fine i can call and the #'s light up, but my main screen is black, is there some way i can replace whatever it is that lights up the screen?

I currently have a $29.99 (+ taxes, etc.) Sprint/Embarq plan that includes after 7pm weeknights and weekends free. I have had so many problems with Sprint/Embarq service and with all kinds of additional charges they refuse to remove that I am looking for a different plan when my contract expires in February 2008. I would be interested in plans in the same cost range since I'm not a big cell phone user.

Got the phone on contract on tuesday, all fine except for the camera...=[
When i go to take a picture, the camera focus's the image and then it begins to save and it then reads "CAPTURE ERROR!"
i have taken about 3 photos with it once when it wanted to work, and the multi shot works easily, the main camera doesnt tho =[ Video works fine also =]
And what does Macro do btw?

I've noticed that Verizon is coming out with a bunch of new models in the next month or two. Will these new models drive down the prices of the top of the line ones they have out now? I am looking at the Samsung SCH-a990, but I can't see spending $200 (after discount) for a 2 year old model. I can't wait until January, but are October and November Price drops normal in the cell phone industry?

Just received a Motorola W375........Mobile phone
It does have a usb cable to download the photos, but in the instruction manual it say's ONLY window's ( of course)
And of course I have a MAC osx/iPhoto. When I plug in the USB all it does is charge the phone.....
Anybody got any bright idea's ?

S I get ads on my Fido cell phone!?
For the past month or so I've been getting advertisements on my Fido cell phone almost everyday. I don't know where they are coming from and I never signed up for any service. The ads are mostly to do with erectile disfunction medication. What should I do to stop this? Fido said they can't block SMS messages from any one source? So i have to stop the msgs myself by unsubscribing but how do I do it if i haven't subscribed in the first place? The messages are coming from the numer +001030.

Please any help would be appreciated.
