I am thinking about getting the LG VX8600. I also like the Samsung SCH u740. I have read about a thousand reviews, and they both have flaws, but I am leaning towards the LG. What is your opinion?

For the working of 3G is a sim card required is 3G dependednat on sim card via GPRS and is a Service like GPRS or is it independent like Wi-fi and would work even without a sim CArd?
Supposing I m using a phone with Wi-fi and 3G enabled but no sim card will i be able to utilise the high speed download of the 3G without simcard using Wi-FI ?

I usually write text messages and emails in my native language FILIPINO. However, iPhone 'suggests' English words that have similar spelling and if I'm in a hurry and don't notice it, iPhone substitutes the words and when I hit the send button I get a reply from the recipient saying, "HA?". It could really be frustrating.

Hi just bought a samsung e900, but everytime i try to transfer a picture from my pc to the phone, a message box appears saying 'file not supported' however all the pictures are in jpg format, and im sure that's what the phone accepts, as thats the file format all my pictures taken with the built in camera come up as. If anyone has had this problem or even heard of this problem and have a solution please could you help me! Thanks

I have been with Dobson's Cellular One for about four months, and recently stumbled upon the Sidekick 3 from T-Mobile. So, I had went to T-Mobile on Tuesday (the 17th), got a contract with them (which I know I can cancel within 14 days, etc), then the next day, Wednesday (the 18th) I called Cellular One, and cancelled my service with them. A couple of days of having T-Mobile, I find their reception is terrible where I live. What's the point of having this awesome phone if I can't get any reception?! So, I am wanting to return the phone to T-Mobile, and wanting to return to Cellular One. With my early termination fee, it would cost me $400+ dollars. But, if I were to get ahold of Cellular One, do you think they'd let me come back, without making me pay that cancellation fee? I mean, it hasn't even been a week yet! I know this was a stupid mistake. Trust me... I'm kicking myself in the *** on this one. But, if you know anything about this, please help!

I have the "new att" (cingular) and am on a family plan that has like a certain number of minutes, and then like free calls to other cingular customers, etc. I have been making calls to Detroit to someone who has Sprint. Do these calls come out of my regular minutes? are they free after a certain time? I'm confused. Thanks!

I am on a 2 year plan with verizon. Its a fmaily share plan with 700 minutes. I got my phone last summer with the plan. So its almost one year now and i was wondering if i can upgrade after one year? And i mean having the option to get a phone cheap, as though i was beginning a new plan.

When I open up my phone it still thinks it is closed. The outside screen still has the time up and the regular screen is just blank. This happens often and I think that it is with the sensor that detects whether or not the phone is open or not. It is a older phone and Verizon I know would do nothing about it.

I was hoping to find a reasonably priced family plan. At the moment, my family and I are on a cingular/AT&T family plan and it's coming out a bit expensive. What plan would you suggest that has a good price and gives you your money's worth. We need three lines and text messaging. Internet and Email isn't really something we're worried about so we can rule that possibility out. Oh, yes, and we're trying to get away from the ''Pay As You Go'' plan.

My sisters B-Day is coming and my mom wants to get her a cell phone. My sister is very responsible. I got my first cell phone when I was 12. I don’t think she would make us go over are minutes and I have never went over. It’s basically my mom. She is in forth grade and is going to be nine. She has multiple friends that have cell phones and she would like one as well. This could also mean when she goes over to a friend’s house we can monitor her or if she needs help she can call home, mom, dad, or me. Im 16, and I usually pick her up, and I don’t always know were her friends house is so this could help me as well.

I just switched my service to verizon not even a week ago. I got the LG VX8300, a two year, basic, 450 minute plan plus texting. I text a lot and this phone isnt the best when it comes to this. is there a way i can trade my phone, get a discount, or do i have to wait.

so i have this 'new' chocolate phone from verizon wireless and it came with a USB port to plug into my computer. and when i plug it in, it asks what i want to transfer.... 'music' or 'data'

if i click 'music' i can take mp3's from my computer and put them on the phone, which is sweet

but if i click 'data' nothing happens. i cant access the phone from the computer, i can't put anything on it or take anything off of it or even look at it. what is the point of having this 'data' option?

and does anyone know how to get videos off the phone onto your computer that are over 30 seconds long? cause if it's over 30 seconds long it won't let me send it to anyone else or email it or anything. is there a way to get a video thats over 30 seconds off your phone and onto your computer w/ the USB port that connects the phone to your computer? and if so, how, cause they won't respond to emails and have made something that sounds simple very complicated

Im kinda getting sick of verizon, they gave me a new phone to replace my broken one only to say right AFTER i paid for it that the speaker was blown and i would have to deal with it and try to get a new one because that was the only kind of mine that was in stock. and whats up with them and lo tech phones i mean mines pretty nice but they come out with new phones like once a year ... nothing comprared to cingular
