I have Dual Tuner DVR and recently someone stole my dish for some reason. I got a dish from someone, but I'm having to install it myself. Everything is the same, but I need to install the dish. I did everything and adjusted everything according to the manual. All I need to do is to know how to connect the cable wire. I have Dishnetwork 500 with DishPlus LNB. There are two connections for 119 and one connection for 110. What do I need to do? I connected to the 110, but all it says "switch or connector has problem". What do I need to do? Help~!!

I have many videos of my college (more than about 9 hrs. total). I was thinking of taking them to home so that I can play them on my conventional DVD player. Since almost all of them are in AVI or other formats, I don't think that my DVD player at home will read them if I directly put them on a DVD and make a data DVD. So I needed to make a video DVD, one which was easily playable on almost all of the DVD players.
When I began burning, my software showed that only two hours of video was going to fit on a standard DVD (4.7 GB). I am confused cause every video is about one hour long and is of about 350MB. So if I make a data DVD, I will be able to put at least 12 videos, which equals 12 hours of video. But in DVD which I need to make, I can only put 2 hrs!!!!
Why is it so? I have also seen DVDs holding three complete movies and still playable on a standard DVD player. How did they make them? I want to fit highest amount of video I can, please tell me what should I do cause if there is

I have a Canon XH A1 camcorder. It has a 4 pin firewire connector. The manual simply refers me to some $800 software package that Canon sells and I'm not interested in spending that amount of money to digitize the video.

So, what other software can I use to get the video from the camera into a video file on my PC? I have both a mac and a PC, so a package for either one will be fine (although I prefer PC).

Keep in mind that the camcorder outputs 1080i video, so the software needs to support that.

I have seen lots of sites where you can download meshes, but I want to make my own, where can I learn how to do this, or download a certain program. I want to make hair, clothes, body types and other things you can mesh.

Whenever I get to the screen asking me if I see video in the background, it's pitch black. When I turn the TiVo off, I see a picture just fine. The cables are connected fine, and I just can't figure out what is wrong. Any suggestions? Your help is much appreciated, and points to anyone who can get this working!!!
TY

About a month ago....I had purchased a Nokia 7270 phone due to the fact that some bastard stole my Nokia 6101. The problem is that I can't some of the settings to work. AND.....Yes - I have gone to the site Nokia.com/asia/us/whatever......AND yes....I did download the set-up settings which are provided free by Nokia.

However....(I'm all new to cell phones and the Nokia 6101 was the first cell also..I don't know the "rules"...or what to look for in a phone...blah blah) However.....I did call T-mobile, my service provider, and they told me that because it wasn't a Nokia T-mobile phone brand, that I would unable to get t-zones, wallpapers, ringtones, etc. So I asked the customer service person:

"SO BASICALLY...YOU ARE SAYING THAT THIS PHONE IS ONLY GOOD FOR JUST MAKING PHONE CALLS AND DOING TEXT MESSAGING"

and she said "YES"....we can configure it for you to get email and instant messaging and what have you but it would only last a couple of days.

????....so am I stuck?

I would like to buy a Nikon Digital SLR Camera. However, I don't know which one will meet my needs. All I want is a camera that will take the highest quality photo without me having to do anything. In other words, I'm not an avid photographer and I want a camera to do all the work for me - but I don't want to overpay for features I don't need.

I currently have an Nikon N60 which I'm happy with. However, sometimes when I take action shots (e.g. someone playing sports) the camera doesn't always shoot as quickly as I would want. So, I may want a camera that is better and taking action photos.

I've looked at the Nikon website that compares cameras located here, but it is too technical for me:
