I'm looking at a RCA 52" Wide Screen rear projection HDTV RCA Television and was comparing it to another (twice as expensive JVC brand) television of the same size and type (but possibably not of like quality).

The RCA television has Vertical Scanning Lines (Native Mode) of 1080.

The JVC television has Vertical Scanning Lines (Native Mode) of 720.

What do the vertical scanning lines do for the picture quality? I would think the more lines the better the picture. If this is correct, the RCA, at half the cost, would be the better buy......am I thinking right?

Which of these two televisions are the best and why in your opinion?

RCA 52" Widescreen Rear-Projection HDTV R52WH77 and,
JVC 52" Rear-Projection HD-ILA HDTV with TV Stand HD527BP7

My home phone stopped working about 2 weeks ago. I can make calls usually, but I do not receive incoming calls. Someone came to supposedly fix the problem. They could not figure out how to repair the old jacks, so they left them like they were and installed 3 new ones. Calls can be made on the new ones and one of the old ones, but NONE of them receive calls. If you dial my number you hear static and then the call is disconnected. This happens when dialing from a cell or landline phone. What might the problem be? (It is not the actual phone, I have 2 & niether of them are working in any of the jacks.) Is this an electical problem in my house, as I suspect, or could the phone company be responsible?

Please can somone recommend a PROFESSONAL mp3 player, preferably rackmountable. I need it to add to my PA system for pubs/clubs singers/performers etc.

I would have to load tracks onto it via USB or cd but i do NOT wand a cd/mp3 player it must be HDD based.

And I must stress it should be professional not just the standard mp3 players you can buy for
£30 from Argos.

Memory wise about 60-80GB+ would be good.

Budget = around £500
