Please can somone recommend a PROFESSONAL mp3 player, preferably rackmountable. I need it to add to my PA system for pubs/clubs singers/performers etc.

I would have to load tracks onto it via USB or cd but i do NOT wand a cd/mp3 player it must be HDD based.

And I must stress it should be professional not just the standard mp3 players you can buy for
£30 from Argos.

Memory wise about 60-80GB+ would be good.

Budget = around £500

I know that Citronic launched a dual CD player last year....which also had a HDD built in. You could play the tracks from the hard-drive and use the same controls as you would for the cd function.
I've had a quick look and can't find it listed for sale anywhere. Everyone is nuts these days for table top single cd players...think they discontinued this product recently.

An alternative system is made by Cortex. You can hook up any USB storage device and control audio playback.

A similar controller is made by Numark, but costs £100 more.
