I would have to say ipod. I've had mine for quiet a while now and I love it. Holds tons of songs and the clarity of the music is good.

It depends on your priorities. An I-pod can store almost all your music (and picture files) without the need for any expansion card. It is also much lighter and more handy to bring. A mobile phone (e.g. Sony Ericsson W800i) will give you the same amount of memory but you will need to buy several memory sticks to match an I-pod. You can make calls on your mobile, which is hard to do on an I-pod. You can buy extra batteries for your mobile and keep playing for several days. I'm not so sure about the I-pod.

Basically, if you want convenience and are not a hard-core audiophile, choose the mobile. It can also make calls, shoot pictures, and act as a mobile hard drive. If you are a music afficionado and have little priority for taking pictures and doing phone calls, get the I-pod. It all boils down to versatility versus pure quality/performance.

It is everybody' mindset that ipod is better for music as it is designed for music only.Recently, this concept is proved to be wrong by Nokia by introducing N 91.If u listen this on Bose headphones,u get an unbelievable sound, not available on any ipod as I have a couple of ipods. If u listen sonyericsson W950,it has also fantastic sound effect.Differnce between Nokia N91 and SE W950 is that former has hard disc and latter has flash based memory. In nokia, for Bose headphone, u have to pay some extra money.Otherwise both have excellent sound better than ipods.

If you have both stay with the ipod. but if you were to choose one.. get a Sony Ericsson W series phone. it has the Sony Walkman player built in and provides pretty nice sound quality. battery life is someting to consider.. standby time is about 7-10 days. talk time is 4 hours.. music playback cant recall..

iPod or some other Mp3 players.

I would say it is not recommended to use your mobile to play music 'cos the battery problem. You can't use your mobile to play music freely...cos you have to make sure your mobile have enough power to receive & make calls.
