I have been using Audition to clean up records, hissy cassette audio and it works just fine. I run those files through the program save them and they're still just like the original recording.
However, I went to connect my Yamaha US-1 organ via line input to the PC and record the organ's performance disks via audio into Audition. When actually recording, the PC is fine, there's no lag, and everything seems to be fine. However, after about 3-4 minutes, it goes from "smooth" sounding audio, to fuzzy and very distorted. I don't know what Audition is doing this. Every track I have tried this on so far (using Audition to actually record the files live) seems to do this. An example below:

It also at times seems like it wants to "lose" almost a half of a
second of audio. Not a "dropout", but like but like I went in and deleted about a half of a second, and pieced it back together.
Anyone ELSE have this problem, and if so, how could/did you fix it?
