There are two main options:
1.) Roll back your computer
(XP system restore)
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.
Find a date close to, but before you deleted the drivers for your sound card.
If it doesn't work the first time, try a restore point before the one youtried the first time.
2.) Go to Dell's site and find the drivers.

You can't marry someone you can't trust, and you already don't trust her. Proving she isn't cheating won't make you feel any better in the long run because eventually you will distrust her again. Work on your own self-esteem because you seem to have issues in that area. In the meantime, find out the way everyone else does. Ask her point-blank. Then have your posse keep an eye on things. If she's cheating, you'll know soon enough.

Unless you removed it, it should have been included when Dell put the software on the machine.
Just go to control panel, add hardware & see if it is detected.
If XP installs the driver automatically, great.
If not, go to http://www.dell.com
and put in your service tag number, or drill down manually to the model.
they have the drivers available for download.

Go to Dells web site and put in your "Service Tag (serial no)" and it will give you the sound cards installed on that model and the option to download them.
Hope this helps.

Sometimes if you go into the Device Manager and try reinstalling the driver it will search your hard drive and find the drivers without having to download them.

depends on what make and model soundcard you have, try searching for you laptop ad seeing what it comes with then just put the name along with audio driver download in goodle and it should show a few drivers for that soundcard
without the make of your soundcard its pretty hard tho you may score lucky with a default driver
