1)
I have private methods of a class and I need to use variables created by these private methods in other private methods of the same class. Now, should I declare the variable outside of the method at the beginning of the class and be done? Or do I need a public, static in front of it?

2)
I keep getting an error with a stringtokenizer
Exception in thread "main" java.util.NoSuchElementException
and java.util.StringTokenizer.nextToken(Unknown Source)

my code at the line is as follows....
headerArray.add( Integer.parseInt( header.nextToken()) )

header is a stringtokenizer, headerArray is an arraylist of ints.
Only thing i can think of is its not finding the input file which it is in the correct directory

I am looking to add a player plugin to simply play 1 track looped on a client website as background music. The most important features i need are the ability to change the look and feel of the player to match the website and that the track does not restart when visitors click links to different pages in the website. Does anyone have any players or advice they can recommend ?

Im new to frontpage,and publishing takes forever from frontpage so I copied the webpages and just stuck it in a folder that is on the sever,it works. So why did my boss want me to publish it instead of sticking it in there. Please help

I am creating Certificates for school, when i put a grade down and i drop a line and do it again in the same position it doesnt set it in the same position as the line above, for instance:

C(c)
- C(c) --- It will not sit equally as the grade above, even when i backspace

My program has a main window and a popup. When I put onclick or onsubmit events in my program to call a function in the main window, it calls using the window.opener method. Once inside the main window function, I would like to write to the popup.But the function does not work...eg. dispwin.document.write("Hi") doesn't work. instead im able to use something like alert("Hi") in the function. this doesn't help.

Ok I want to get into web development. But I am totally confused which way I should i go php or asp.net.

PHP sounds easy because you use mysql and apache and that seems like full package.

Asp.net on other hand sounds confusing because you have to learn another .net langugage( i thought asp.net was a language) such c or visual basic and off course any database.

Can somebody please give me advice ..Thanks in advance

i have 2 programs that are some how automatically reloading themselves after i reboot. I went to msconfig and selected selective startup then went to startup tab and unchecked some programs that i didn't want to load during start-up. Well somehow they are being checked again and i can't seem to get them to stay unchecked and they keep loading when i don't want them to is there a way to fix this so they won't load on startup. through the registry perhaps?

I have just built a program to allow my works to input income and outgoings data and produce graphs, reports etc. The input screen requires very little information, as macros & functions etc complete nearly everything. There are a few cells where input is required: how do I make it so the only cells that can be accessed are the cells that require input? Say using the TAB key will cycle between the input cells only. This problem has bugged me for years. I've used Excel5.

Having some difficulties coming up with doing the following:
1. If number inputed is even, the next number wld be half of it. the output wld show the numbers until it reaches 1.

2. need to add something at the end to count the number of times it was halved.

so far i think i got the following

im thinking that a for loop has to be used in order for the numbers to halve although im not certain of what i has to be.
