I designed a website and used a FTP to upload it. What file do I put in to make it viewable? What format do I use with pitures? Can someone help me with this?

When you go to your website, it will load the index.htm file unless it's been specified in the server files to load something else.

You should use jpg or png for pictures.

When you uploaded your website to your web server it should have included an index file in the root directory. That is the page that is viewable over the web.

Most common image format is jpg or jpeg.

If you've uploaded it, then it should be viewable. Just type in the address . Your host should tell you this.
Pictures on the web are generally jpg or gif format (they take up less space).

Most servers look for index.html, index.htm, index.php, or index.asp. When you make a request to your server via a web browser, Those are the files that are being looked for. Make sure you have one of those files.

If you have a static site that uses just html, upload a index.html file. Word. Keep Rockin!
