Have been told that I have to much running in the back ground , of the programs that have icons on the lower right hand corner of the screen , showing that they are running in the background , How do I turn off the ones that I dont use ??

I want to set up two webservers that will allow a CGI script (perl based ) to run for hours. Apache gives me timeout errors right now.

I just downloaded a bunch of mods, but I don't know how to make them work. They are all 7z files, I'm not sure how to extract these and make them work. I only know how to use zip and rar files. Any help would be appreciated.

My first question is how to design a special link (on my home page) and when people click it, it will relocating people to different section of the same page. For example: when people click [MIDDLE], it will direct people to middle part of my page.

i have made a website with MS-Frontpage, in my computer everything from animations to text alignment works nicely but as in other computers it gets worst, text gets scattered, animations fail to load, and sound file doesnot works properly.......any help????please help me as this is my school project and animations are necessary.

Actually Ive been given to edit 1500 lines in excel....there i had to put commas between number arranged in column

This seem to be a never ending task...there is no option in excel to change it that way...Can anybody write a simple executable software in which I can copy these column numbers and consequently obtain the desirable results in running it....
definitely 10 points..for the best answer..not good enough incentive...I know...but that the most i can do...

When I go to Brushes>Reset brushes> (I hit the brush file that I want) it doesn't do anything, it just gives me the brushes that were out before trying to open up the new file...
Is my photoshop (7) not compatible? (I made sure they were ABR files) please someone help!

Alright I got really bored today and I just learned about batch files. They are pretty intersting with all the things they do.
I'm not really having a problem, but have been trying to find a remote shutdown script that will work but every one I have found just brings up command prompt and does the same prompt over and over which does nothing. So I just have to close it.
shutdown -r -f -t 00 -m \\computerName
This is the type of file i have been using but like I said it just explains what i typed when I put it in command prompt.
I have windows XP Home edition SP2.
Please Help!
And if you can find any documents online with examples of lots of batch files please let me know the url.

I need to create a stylesheet with the following rules:
-All content in the list should be red
-The class "bld" that, when applied, makes the text arial and bolds the text
-The class "shift-ridht" that, when applied, to an anchor tag, moves the text 100 pixels up when the mouse hovers over it

I designed a website for my non-profit using MS Publisher...I know, it's a lame program for web design, but it's all I have and I have no budget yet.
The website looks and runs great on Internet Explorer. It looks like crap and only two links on the home page run using Firefox.
My web server support says everything looks fine on their end, the problem is with Firefox or Publisher. I know it's easy to blame Publisher, but after going on the Firefox support site, I see a FAQ "Why don't websites don't look right using Firefox?" Now I wonder if there is something on the Firefox side that is messed up.
Does anyone know what I can do with my meager software or ability to edit the code to help remedy the problem?

It was normal sized until a couple of days ago. Now, everything is really small and on some sites, unreadable. I've already made fonts larger on display, but that's doesn't do anything to internet sites. Help!
