Is there anything better than windows or even microsoft? I've been using xp pro on a Dell dimension desktop. I bought it new two weeks ago and it crashed the first time I installed xp pro and now it's in a slow crash since windows update poped in.

See i have the highest speed of cable internet yet my computer is still slow. It is like i am on dial-up. What could be wrong with my computer? I have defraged, cleaned disk and all of that so what does it need? It is a hp pavilion..It is about i guess 3 years old. Plus can someone tell me how i can add virus software free to it too?

Hey I'm having trouble design this sort of program so I was wondering if you could help me:

A maze is a two dimensional structure with an entrance and sometimes an exit. The job for this program is to determine if the given maze has an exit. All of the mazes will have the entrance point at the top left corner. The exit point can be anywhere in the far right column. A valid path will be a continuous block of 1s that connect the top left corner to any spot on the far right column. A valid path can only be connected horizontally or vertically. Diagonal connections are not legal. The 1s in the file represent the path and 0s represent the walls of the maze. Output EXIT FOUND if there is a path leading to an exit out of the maze. Output NO EXIT FOUND if there is not a path leading out of the maze.

Helpful Hints / Assumptions: All input will be 1s and 0s. The 1s represent the path and 0s show that there is no path in that area.

I mean really, we live in a society wanting a quick fix and instant gratification instead of LEARNING.

HTML/XHTML are so easy to learn, I just wonder why so many just want an easy-out solution.

someone i know has a thing on their toolbar where you can disable any html on a page. anyone know what it its called? or where I can find it?

well maybe it's not called disabling html but I just know that if someone has codes (like color/font) that this thing on the toolbar will disable all that.

My laptop is pretty new however, after a year in Iraq with my soldier husband, all of the spyware and i'm sure one or two virus', windows won't start up... so I need to reformat the harddrive to when we first got it out of the box. I do have the recovery disk but it has a built in wireless card so I need to make sure that will run. Thanks

Question 3a) Write an algorithm that calculates the volume of a house and the cost of heating the house. The house is assumed to have the shape of a box with a prism on top as roof. The dimensions of the house: Width, Length, Height, and RoofSide are given in meters. The cost of heating one cubic meter (1 m3) of the house is $0.34 (for a month).




Question 3b) Java Implementation of 3a). The dimensions of the house are input from the keyboard (you can assume the user inputs valid values, positive real numbers). The volume of the house and the cost of heating are displayed on the screen.


k the question shows a picture of a house ... a rectangular prism wit a triangular prism on top. All dimensions of the house are shown except the height of the triangle. So you have to calculate the height to find the volume and then find the cost. i know how to do part A but need help wit part B.
