is it possible to take my old computer, and empty files i'd like to keep onto a disc or something before i completely empty it out and give it to someone else? i've done a backup type thing on a disc but i can't open it on my newer computer because it doesn't have the right file paths and so on and so forth. i have nero to do it, but if i need to download something else, that's fine. pleeeease, help.

The program itself is not responding to the settings on the junk mail opion settings. It's like someone has taken over my Outlook mail program.

I keep a very clean "desktop" on my laptop computer. So clean that I have only three icons on it general, although in process of some thing i will put some on there temporarily.

This is the case, and there are now two folder icons that I cannot delete .. I was able to delete the contents of the folders, but not the folders themselves, even after rebooting and other maintenance procedures. When I try to, it tells me
"Cannot delete file: cannot read from the source file or disk."

Any help would be so welcome, this is gonna drive me nuttier. LOL

Not in a literal sense but by MS failing with the Zune, it could lead to die-hard Microsoft fans really starting to look elsewhere for a new OS, especially since Apple did the best thing and that is going with Intel. It just seems that Apple is doing everything right lately and Microsoft doing everything wrong like IBM did back when they got too big. It may be that we could compare (today's Apple) with (today's Microsoft) as we did with comparing (yesterday's Microsoft) with (yesterday's IBM). I think Windows has just gotten too complex to be "worth it" anymore, and I am a true Die-Hard Microsoft Fanboy that said that I will never own an Apple Computer but I am now considering it. I think that the final nail in the MS coffin will be when Apple makes their way into the Corporate PC world. What do you think, could this be the beginning of the end for the PC era?

like I said something is eating my C drive space i keep on deleting things like programs,and whatever else i can possibly find to delete and it does free up space it freed up 3.68 gb and i checked a few min later i only has 2.97 or so gb left and I didnt install a single thing i just chatted wit ppl plz help

I needed to do a system restore on my pc. When I began the system restore it prompted me to either do a complete restore or one that creates a backup of what is on the computer. I chose the one that did the backup so that I could keep all of my important files. Now that i have my computer restored, I cant access the most important file that I need which is the Documents and Settings folder. Before I did a restore, this section of my computer had a password on it and when I try to open the folder it tells me access is denied...PLEASE HELP!!!

i was having issues w/ my pc so i decided to repair windows xp but i couldn't so i just installed it again, so now when my pc starts up iget a choosing screen to pick between two windows xp operating systems i tried going into the original one but it won't start so now i just work from the second one but my pc doesn't run like before, it's sluggish, so i would like to delete that first one...if you can provide url to sites where i can go to do this myself i'd appreciate it
