to download youtube videos, you need a flash player. because all youtube videos are flash videos. so then you might want to ...
go to www.rivavx.com. then go to the download section, scroll down and download..."Free Riva FLV Encoder 2.0". it comes with both the flash player and the encoder-which will help u to convert videos to any extension/formatt.
oh... i almost forgot.... if you need to download videos from youtube, you need to go to either of this sites...

1) www.keepvid.com or
2) www.flashload.net.

on this site you'll see an address bar, and you are suppose to copy or paste the url link of the youtube video in there and select youtube from the options menu and click download.
on the bottom you'll get the link.... don't click on the link... right click on the download link and "save as" . when you save them to your computer always put on the flash extension---"flv". like for example.. if you are going to save a video as "hello". you have to put--".flv". "hello.flv".
so go ahead and try it out dude.
hope you'll have a good time.
