I haved a hacked version of Frontrow running on my Power PC Mac Mini. Idealy, I'd like a reciever that would support an Apple Remote. Any type of compatible remote would be nice. Thanks!!!

I have a dell inspiron 6000, and it gets REALLY hot. Hotter than any laptop i have ever used. I mean it gets so hot where i can't even put it in my lap. I know they aren't supposed to be put in your lap blah blah blah. But every laptop i have ever used you can put it in your lap and be fine. But my laptop gets so hot it is rediculous. I have no idea why anyone have any clues? orw ays to fix it

I just found out that I am not suppose to use the computer as the administrator and I have been doing just that. So what's the easiest way to change how I use the computer? Can I set up a new administrator account and then take away my access as an administrator on the old account? OR... Do I need to just stop using the administrator account and set up a new one with all the bells and whisles my old account has? This would take some time so I really hope the first suggestion is fine.

my laptop died, and i cant get it started for anything, safemode wont work, ive tryed everything i can think of, short of erasing everything and starting over. if anyone has any ideas about how to pull the data off, because i really need to get it off, please help me out

I'm not going to be using it for anything like a home business or something like that.. just for my teen pleasure. I want something in the $600-$800ish range. I want to know what a good laptop has.. as in GB and memory. How much?

My computer is 7 years old. It has Windows XP installed with a 550 Mhz processor and needs to be replaced badly. However, as technology changes some part of me feels that there is a timing factor when it comes to buying something new. Getting a new computer right now would mean buying a machine with Windows XP, but then when Vista comes out I would have to fork out more dough to get the operating system. Maybe it would be better to wait until there are machines that have Windows Vista on there already. What would be better?

Oh by the way, nobody tells me to get a Mac. I prefer PC because that is what I grew up on and what I am used to so don't reply if "buy a Mac" is going to be your answer.

I need a DOS driver that can read a CF card from the PCMCIA slot, because I want to be able to run Ghost 2003 and restore an operating system image to one.

Right now, to restore the image I have to put the CF card in the target computer, and connect a CD-ROM drive to restore the image. I would rather image the card outside the PC.

Hi

I have a 37'' lcd hdtv and i am wanting to hook my pc up to the tv and use it as a monitor. My tv has an input for it, but what do i need to do to my pc to get it to work and what kind of cable do i need to connect it to my tv? thanks very much for your help!
