i try to install java but it keeps saying to check the installation program or something like that

Limewire is java based. You'd be much better off using http://kceasy.com

That program has all the same stuff that;'s on Limewire and doesn't use java.

Yes, you need to install or update new java from official website:
http://www.java.com

Note: limewire needs new Java to be installed before setup.

if u go to www.ukchatterbox.co.uk it will install java for you, just a little thing i stumbled on by accident and it installed it in my pc and then i could use limewire

In your internet explorer menu, go to

tools > internet options > advanced > microsoft VM

check the Java enable box
