i have a c600 latitude notebook, pentium3 GHz, with a40gb hard drive,..I want to know if I brought my parts and accessories from Dell, could I have a tech guy install it, or would I have to send the notebook to the manufacturer.

dvd drive memory and HD yes, the rest nope

Have a tech guy do it, you probably could do it yourself (if you follow the manuals instructions to the letter) just be careful, most desktop upgrades are a pice of cake, laptops tend to be a pain because you have to remove some things to get at others.

Your tech guy could install a dvd drive or hard drive. Actually, you could probably do it too. It's relatively easy! Check your owner's guide for your laptop, it actually might show you how to replace them.

u can do it, u don't need to send it to those guys (manufacturer)!
and the by the by increase your hard disk, having a powerful processor for a notebook, but less memory. Upgrade your hard disk!
