I am very interested in working for the Geek Squad or a similar PC repair shop. I currently have an Associates Degree in Computer Technology, I am A+ Certified, and I have a diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics for Computer Technology and Repair.

What else should I get (i.e. certifications) to ensure that I can get a job at a PC repair / support store?

I know you can edit pictures, and substitute a different face for the current one. I am just wondering how you do this, and what program I would need.

I have a dual boot system with three partitions, c: [fat32] d:[ntfs] and e:[fat32]
win98 on c: win Xp on d:. Recently i had a problem with my winXp so i installed a new
copy of winXp on e: and deleted windows folder on d: . But i couldn't remove its name from
starting screen for selection of OS. So i again tried to reload xp on d: and left the installation icomplete,
so now starting screen shows me four options as Microsoft windows XP
Microsoft windows XP
Microsoft windows 98
Microsoft windows XP setup
how can i get rid of this?

My mom has a Compaq computer, which is about three years old. In the time she's had it, she's "wiped the hard drive" I'd say over 20 times. She insists that this doesn't do any harm to it, but I've heard otherwise. Any computer experts out there know if it does indeed damage the harddrive in the long run?

I am trying to fill out an online application. It is in PDF format. I know you can select text and paste it. What I was wondering is if it's possible to fill out a PDF Adobe application electronically, on your computer. If it is possible, please let me know what buttons I need to press or steps I need to take. THANKS.

Here's a few tips that will help:

1) Do give as much detail as possible. If your question is about computers, what kind of computer do you have and what version of Windows or Mac OS are you using? If it's about a program, include what version you're using and any other pertinent information.

2) Don't put your whole message in the subject line. This ties in with #1 because you can't really give a detailed description with only 100 characters to work with.

3) Don't ask "Where can I download (some piece of commercial software) for free" or ask for software registration codes. Public displays of greed usually aren't well-received in Internet communities and aren't legal.

4) Don't ask questions that you can easily answer for yourself by using Google or Wikipedia. And don't ask someone to write a book in response - this forum is for brief Q&As, not multi-volume treatises.

5) Do be polite and say "Thank you" when someone gives you a good answer.

Thanks for reading this.
