An account appeared in my computer and I started reading the emails. Some of them were very personal so I decided to just close it. I guess accidents do happen even in the Internet.

That happened to me a couple of times and I just closed it instead of reading the emails. I had to respect the other person's privacy and would expect the same if my account shows up in another computer.

An account showed up in my computer once. I guess when we type our user name and password to access email, some keys are stored in the computer memory. The keys will form and complete a user name and password for another account which will open it. This may be quite similar to what hackers do.

Just close it. A different account with emails appeared in my computer and I just closed it. I'd hate for my account to pop up into another person's computer.

I was checking my emails and had to use the bath room. Then I heard my husband screaming and cursing me. He was looking at my emails and it showed that I was having an affair...I thought he was going to kill me. When I checked the account, it belonged to someone else. The account just popped up and took the place of my emails. We decided not to read anymore and just closed it.

I get junk e-mail all the time with someone eles's address. Usually the first
3 or 4 character are the same as mine. Perhaps the is some editing program at the IP that sends it to the closest address.

Yea. Like Stephanie_M says. Its happened to me too. Somebodies elses account pops up instead of my account. I should have read the guys mail. But I didn't.

No. It wasn't the presidents account. Just some stranger.

My mom was cleaning my room and saw some x-rated emails in my computer. She was furious but I didn't know how it got there. After looking at it closely we noticed that the account was different from mine.

That is possible...the best thing to do is to scan your computer regularly and shut it down if you're not using it for a few hours. When you leave it on and you're not using it, it may attract viruses and unwanted pop ups may find a way to get in.

I would think it's a virus. Peoples email don't just pop up for no reason.
