I am very interested in working for the Geek Squad or a similar PC repair shop. I currently have an Associates Degree in Computer Technology, I am A+ Certified, and I have a diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics for Computer Technology and Repair.

What else should I get (i.e. certifications) to ensure that I can get a job at a PC repair / support store?

I've got just about the same qualifications as you do and frankly, I have considered working for the Geek Squad more than once. What keeps me from doing it is that I'm not sure I would like it and wearing a "uniform" all day doesn't help that situation. You meet the requirements sure enough (in fact MORE than what they are looking for) but think twice before you apply there. For me, I'm going to see if I can find something a little more professional that offers more freedom. Though, they are my fallback plan.

I really think it depends on what repair shop it is. I know Geek Squad has many people are not that certified and they are working there. Plus depends on the area you are working in. Meaning all best buys are different. I would just go in and ask the Geek Squad.

you're in college and you write like this? Whew! you would be able to desire to look on the reproduction of the contract you signed. whilst it says they'd't be held liable for lost records, you may factor out that they've been only checking the fan. Take it in and use a noisy voice to invite what happened. do no longer yell or use profanity or insult them. yet communicate as in case you have a listening to disease. attempt to embarrass them which contain your questions. (prepare in the previous you circulate there so which you will no longer sound like an fool.) i'm hoping you communicate greater helpful than you write. you additionally must touch Acer as there would desire to be a backup of your residing house windows. (i'm hoping you registered it once you got it.) you may not sue somebody for mendacity because it is your observe against theirs and the written contract continuously trumps the voiced one. you will desire to have the means to place slightly stress on them approximately reinstalling residing house windows. Did you purchase the Acer from them?
