I have a dual boot system with three partitions, c: [fat32] d:[ntfs] and e:[fat32]
win98 on c: win Xp on d:. Recently i had a problem with my winXp so i installed a new
copy of winXp on e: and deleted windows folder on d: . But i couldn't remove its name from
starting screen for selection of OS. So i again tried to reload xp on d: and left the installation icomplete,
so now starting screen shows me four options as Microsoft windows XP
Microsoft windows XP
Microsoft windows 98
Microsoft windows XP setup
how can i get rid of this?

u will need to edit your boot.ini file, just seach for this and remove the lines that have the xp.
or u could just bypass that totally and change the screen to 0 in teh boot.ini.
