Internet - October 2006

i use limewire and share the songs, movies , programs through it.
i recently heard that its not legal to use limewire to do such things.
i also share files with my friends and family using the direct connect. Can anybody please explain me about that , what is legal and whats not.?
should i stop using or its ok to continue?

I received an offline I.M. from someone I know. He claims to know nothing about it. It contains an address neither of us recognized, atleast until I ran across a very similar one on a net provider the both of us use frequently. If it indeed came from his I.M. account, is it likely he did send it and changed his mind there after, or more likely something suspicious he really doesn't know anything about? If this site is what I beleive it to be, I have no concerns of virus threats etc. and would enter it. Somone pressed the send button, just wondering how likely or of the possibility this message came from an outside source.

I want to drive people to moneyforhappiness.com and to get them to donate and I want to know the best way to get them to do that. I have submitted to collegehumor.com and somethingawful.com as well as a handful of smaller funny link sites. Is there anyway I can get a paper or news agency to write an article on me/mysite?? I just updated my internet explorer from IE 6 to IE 7 and I not sure about it so far ... but that might take time to get use to (right?). But with that being said, was this a good thing or not? Should I keep IE 7 or go back to IE 6? If so, how do I do that? (LOL)

People that would've never met before the advent of the internet are now meeting, and talking in real time, take or give a few seconds. Letters are now instantly deliverable to whoever u want it to be sent to, when before, it took days, weeks, or even months to get to them through snail mail. why are ppl so non-chalant about this?
