Internet - October 2006

as mac computer doesnt have any cache (lie pc) to set. I am presently using mac 1.21ghz and dont have any idea how to improve in terms of :
1. How to improve overall mac performace ? (in term of computer setting, dont tell me to buy RAM)

2. How to improve web browser (safari) performance ?, any setting to set ?
