All the lottery winning notification emails you receive are spam. I remember recently I read a news article about a Kenyan citizen being caught in Kerala for fraudulently asking a big amount from a person for encashing the 'winning amount' after the latter replied to the spam email. Anyway dont reply to the spam email because your mailbox will be flooded with this kind of emails if you reply.

According to the DV-2008 instructions:
http://travel.state.gov/pdf/DV_2008_Final.pdf
Those selected in the random drawing are NOT notified by email.
So mark such emails as spam.

ignore them, they are spam as you said. Dont ever submit bank account information through an email, dont update a profile or account by clickign email links, always go directly to the website. (protect yourself).

Report them as spam and delete them. If all these offers were true, I would be a billionaire.
