Go to Control Panel >>Add/remove programs >>scroll down to IE 7 and click remove. It will automatically revert to IE 6. You don't have to re-install anything.

OK Go to you Add and Remove programs, look for Internet explorer 7 and remove it. it will automatically roll you back to Internet explorer 6 SP2. some times it's hiding with all you updates so what you want to then is CHECK the box at the
right top corner SHOW UPDATES. this will show every thing scroll down tell you see is it. it's there.....To reinstall you Internet explorer again you going to need you windows XP cd. if you have SP2 pre installed in the cd then just stick it in and do upgrade again. but if you cd is SP1 and you up graded to SP2 then you need to remove SP2 as well from you add and remove program.
NOTE: when you do upgrad it don't Erse it just reintalls you operating system cd will tell you upgrade recommended anyway. don't do new installation you will end up with multiple operating systems.

You pretty messed up on that, because when you install Internet explorer 7, it states that you need to back up your old explorer because there's no turning back. You can try to un-install internet explorer 7 and re-installing the oringinal EXPLORER

usually you cant uninstall IE without f-ing up your computer. I'd just say to use firefox. Its so much better than Explorer.
