I want to drive people to moneyforhappiness.com and to get them to donate and I want to know the best way to get them to do that. I have submitted to collegehumor.com and somethingawful.com as well as a handful of smaller funny link sites. Is there anyway I can get a paper or news agency to write an article on me/mysite?? Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Oh yeah, if you feel like donating then you rock!

first thing is that why did you make that site. ans: to make money.
second thing is how [what theme]. if you want to spring money from the ground then you r sorry. u wont suceed. better to give something those who r coming to ur site. like freewares, some demos, wallpapers, screensavers, important website links such as ebuddy,yahoo,msn,hotmail,gmail,rediffmail,sify etc , hit oggs[ you know like converting mp3 songs to ogg format as ogg is free], ebooks, videos[funny,demos,previews], games[ small flash games, ads, previews, downloads[demos or shareware]], news, whether, maps, headlines, websie ranking and number of people visited ur site, banners, flash animated graphics, comics, etc. Keep this in mind : just thing of the work of that of a newspaper[page 1 to the end and its features]. Another thing is collect things[ rare games,oggs etc] reqest money for it as u have work hard to receive it and make them available to receive it. Next give them a free mail serice of ur own thats simple with not much of complecities so that it goes like a chain reaction. also try storage [like ur website has potential to store thing in large amounts like megaupload, rapidshare], p2p, sharing, start forums of various groups , own messenger service, friends circle, ideas[like yahooanswers], .....................and rest u fill up.
life is easy. As long as u dont beleive urself in doing anything and maintaining it steady then ur gone. my idea is simple. ur website should promote concelling[helping solve problems also].
the most important factor is:
YOUR SITE SHOULD BE FAST, SIMPLE, BEAUTIFULL. TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF BUSINESS SKILLS IN TODAYS WORLD.

donating to you for what purpose?
have you had that idea approved by your state first?
Usually your state will have a list on hand those who are permitted to request donations. I think you also need a license to do that, and, it has to be for a good reason....and it would be considered not for profit so you can use only the money you "earned" and at a low percentage, otherwise you'll be jailed.

submit to stuff like google and crap...
then make sure you tell all your friends about it....
you can anonyomusly send a newspaper an e-mail praising about how good ur site is, if they find that iits worth it, they will write an article about it..
and ya, can you donate to me a .org domain, i'll make sure u get back ur money thru google adsense.
