As far as i know it will at anytime, make your computer shutdown in like 50 seconds or so...a window will popup while searching the web saying you have so many seconds before your computer shuts down...and theres nothing you can do to stop it.

"lsass.exe" is the Local Security Authentication Server. It verifies the validity of user logons to your PC/Server. It generates the process responsible for authenticating users for the Winlogon service. This process is performed by using authentication packages such as the default Msgina.dll. If authentication is successful, Lsass generates the user's access token, which is used to launch the initial shell. Other processes that the user initiates inherit this token. More info
Note: The lsass.exe file is located in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. In other cases, lsass.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm!

lsass.exe is not a virus in and of itself, it is a Windows file. The virus merely uses and/or interrupts that file.
This is a virus that can log your keystrokes, which in turn means ANYTHING you type can be reported back to a person/machine that scavenges your passwords.
Follow the links below for info, and a list of Symantec virus removal tools.

It can be one of 2 things. It is either a legitimate Windows process or it is the Sasser worm.
If your Windows operating system is current and fully updated then you will have no worry about catching the Sasser worm virus.
You do update your Windows every month on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, don't you?
