It seems your time would be better spent investing in real relationships.

As stated above, they can be if you keep them online. However, when you decide to meet them in person you never really know what you are getting. This is based on personal experience, they will tell you anything to impress you or make you have feelings for them. But 90 percent of what men say online are lies either intentional or unintentional to get you to meet them and try to get you vulnerable enough to trust and believe them. Feelings of LOVE do not and cannot develop over the Internet. It takes a lot of time before you really know someone.

Please be very careful and get to know the person. I have friends that have had both good and bad relationships online. Some have even gotten married. Just use your brain as in any relationship :) Best of luck

some of them are depending upon the site but i would be very careful no matter what. you see all the cases on TV about online relationships and how it can take aturn for the worse and so forth. just be precautious at all times!

Your messages can always be wiretapped and you never know with whom you are really exchanging messages.
I had two months ago a pen pal on the Net who said that was a woman from Taiwan and finally I understood that it was a man! Sick, isn't it?

If you want to transfer them to real life I'd be careful. It can work though, my sis and her husband met on the net and they are doing swell.
