Internet - September 2006

I'm a Tech setting up a business here so I may need anything from a workbench to a resistor and I'd rather pick it up rather than wait days for it to arrive. I know I could find these items in a phonebook but there's got to be a better way to do it online or so one would think. Maybe I'm wrong - you tell me. Thanks for your time.

I don't know if it's just Yahoo, but everything I've searched ever on Yahoo is still coming up. If I go to www.yahoo.com and click the down arrow, it comes up with everything I have ever searched and it's driving my crazy! I've cleared the history, but it doesn't go away. NOTE: This is not the Yahoo toolbar (I know how to get rid of those.) but it's Yahoo itself. I'm sure it's not just on Yahoo, it's probably every search field I type in online. I'm using a 2006 Macbook. Thank you so much!

I've just purchased a new pc but every time I want to play a game (e.g. yahoo card games) it loads but there is an X in a box in the corner which prevents the picture being shown.

Recently whenever I try to go online using my laptop it gives me the message "limited or no connectivity". I am currently subscribed to Verizon fios, and have a wireless router set up. My PC is plugged directly into the router and the internet works fine. When I was unable to connect online using the wireless connection I tried plugging the laptop directly into the router, but it gave me the same message.

I tried using the auto-repair function to fix the problem, and when that yielded no results I tried to renew my IP address using the command console. When I do the "ipconfig /renew" command it gives me the message "No operation can be performed on Wireless Network Connection while it has its media disconnected".

This problem has just occured about a week ago, and earlier that day I was able to connect online using the laptop, but when I went on that night it didn't work. I am unsure how to proceed, and am at my wit's end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HAve any of you ever ordered from Amazon.com before. Did you receive your stuff in about the time they predicted? I ordered Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix from Amazon.com, and they said that I should receive it around September 16, 2006, but now I got an email saying that the ship date has been pushed back to Sept 29. I know that gamexube doesn't make it anymore, so I was wondering if Amazon would advertise a product they don't even have in stock, collect my money, and have me waiting "forever:... I just didn't think it would be this much hassle for a video game.

so okay. i am creating a site for someone and they are willing to pay for the domain name. so we have a domain name.
i know html and do NOT need a site builder. what i need is a free hosting plan that either you can register the domain name for the price already arranged (9-15 dollars) and get free hosting or get free hosting and transfer the domain name to said hosting plan. i need a free hosting plan that gives me about 150mb+ of storage, hopefully a email account and a photo album would be awesome. please help! i have to get the hosting set up by wednesday night.
