I ordered an Apple Macbook a couple of days ago from Apple's online store. Well I didn't know that to get the free (or discounted) printer, I had to get it at the same time as the laptop so both items are on the same receipt.

I went to the Apple store at the mall yesterday and the sales rep told me that for me to get the free printer, I would have to pretty much refund my Macbook and have them re-sell it on the floor. The only problem with that is that it is customized and I added more memory and speed so it will be an even harder process for them to take it back.

So now I am just going to buy a printer. I want to know what is the best all-in-one printer that will be compatible with the Macbook and also my old Dell since I am keeping it. I want something for every day printing as well as something that will print good quality color pictures. I am going to be using it mostly for college. Thank you!!!

My HP laserjet 4P printer when i tried to insert the catridge i have opened the cover which was broken, Can we get the cover or i have to replace total cabinet. If so where do we get in INDIA(HYDERABAD) and what is cost of it. Please suggest me.

Is there some sort of setting i can use to correct this problem. I've tried changing to landscape and that usually helps but its hard to remember to do this every time.

For home use. Low volume, but I'd like excellent photo quality printing and reliability. HP makes so many different models I'm dizzy. And are the Canon's better at photos? It should be a nice looking, smaller machine if possible, and reasonably fast. Which models should I consider for under $400ish)

Sometimes when I try to print something like for instance a recipe from Food Network or classified ads from my local paper or driving directions from Yellow Pages.com, it prints everything on the page except the pertinent info. Like all you get is headings and advertisments and the rest of the page will come up blank. Other times it prints fine. I have a Epson Photo 825. Can someone please help me?

I bought a HP LaserJet 4200 used off ebay a couple months ago. Ever since I bought it, the toner has barely transferred to the page (very very light print out). Also, randomly on the page, the toner gets concentrated on the page and prints in a solid black (but very squished). The toner cartridge isn't the problem as I've replaced it twice. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong with it?

sometimes i see an article of interest, or a poem or whatever and i want to print only that info yet when i go to print it will print everything sometimes twenty thirty pages, etc, so i am asking how do i highlight just what i want printed.

I need to justify a purchase. We are inclined to choosing 3940 but cannot make a quantitative comparison. Need the printer for an office of around 5. Need fast, good quality prints for office documents. Color prints not very frequent. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! =)

on my windows XP with an HP color laser jet printer. About 1/2 the time I try to print something off my comcast.net email I get an error message. " this document didn't print". If I either turn off the printer and then back on or just disconnect the usb cable and reconnect it prints, HP installed a new driver but says nothing is wrong, so does microsoft and so does comcast and Dell. It doesn't matter which type of program I am trying to print from even just the geniric email.

Worked perfect for two years until I changed cartridges, not for Epson, now paper blank. I have uninstalled and reinstalled software, nothing. The printer is recognising the cartridges and telling me how much ink is left. Can anyone help?
