Is there some sort of setting i can use to correct this problem. I've tried changing to landscape and that usually helps but its hard to remember to do this every time.

It's totally lame, they never really thought of a default for this. Set your page to landscape, and you will get the whole page. But it will take more pages to print then. Or you can download the internet explorer, which can downsize the page before the print.

The correct answer is "No" for many websites. Web developers can include a seperate stylesheet for printing, but most do not. If they use images are tables that they have sized to be 1000pixels wide, it will print 1000 pixels wide, no matter what you do in Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Both of these browsers allow you to adjust printer settings, and Firefox will follow in stylesheets correctly. IE is hit and miss.

When you print out a page go to the file-Print Preview and take a look at what it will look like when it is printed. If you don't like it then set the page to landscape and it will print sideways.

Check if there is a Print this page option

If not, select the relevant info to print (Print, Selection)

If not, change the printing page to landscape.

Two things... Change your browser to Firefox, or Upgrade your browser to I.E. 7 Beta...

Both applications have the option to fit what you're printing onto a single width page, without it getting cut off...

Unfortunately, going Landscape is about your only option in IE 6 or lower.

You can change the margins, but that's just how the site is coded.

If you are just needing text, copy and then paste it into Word and print there.

Go to the page setup and reduce the output size to 95% or lower.
