There are a lot of good answers to this question. Sometimes you can get a good rebate from the manufacturer like Hewlett Packard, Epson, or Canon. Look in the site www.pricewatch and see prices of printers at different sites.

CostCo is great. Right now they have a printer/scanner/copier/fax combo at a better price than I can find anywhere else. They just don't have as much choice as the Best Buy's and Fry's of the world (www.frys.com) I think they are only on the west coast, in Silicon Valley.

By the time you've paid shipping costs and everything, it's generallu just as cheap or cheaper to buy it at a store.

I highly recommend the new HP C3180 or C4180 printers at Best Buy or Office Max/Depot.
