I just bought a new MP3 player and it says that some USB port may not be powerful enough to charge the lithium battery, so I wanted to know what was the USB capacity for my computer.
It says that it needs an "High speed USB 2.0" or something like that...
The MP3 is an "Sansa e260 4.0 GB"
I just want to know if my computer is good enough for it. I'm not very good with computer you see.
So if you can help me out it would very much appreciated.

it has windows xp home with 2 gb of ram and 120gb of hard drive and Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5270.
should i upgrade it to 3gb or ram for an extra 90 dollars???

I am looking at the newspapers and am trying to figure out what laptop i should buy 2marrow. I want something that is going to be fast for what its worth? I see it says intel pentium dual core inside, i dont know what that means. Others laptops say intel centrino duo, core 2 duo. and other say amd turion 64 X2 moblie technology. I dont know what none of that means just wondering if someone can explain it?

I want to get a laptop at a reasonable price. I want it to run at a decent speed with good graphics. But I don't know which kind of laptop I should get!?! that but I would upgrade the ram to 2 gig by buying some more for 30 dollars. But that laptop only has 80 gig and windows vista basic. I'm looking for a store that would sell the cheapest laptop. I'm not going to have anything installed on the computer or get insurance or anything like that. What store has a good laptop deal? Normal price? Holiday sales price? Do you think I could transfer my internet connection to the laptop for free? Is there a router range you have to be in for the laptop to work? When I am at work, I can send email but when at home, I get an error message that says:

I own a Toshiba Satellite for almost 3 years and it is having all kinds of hardware and software issue. At work we are using HP and works very good but maybe it is becasue I cannot install many things on the work computer and it is not moving so much with me.

Now I want to buy a new laptop and the main question is; is there such thing as a most problem free laptop brand? If this was a question for cars, I would reply Toyota or VW or Mercedes. If there is I will prefer that brand even if it is more expensive.

I asked the question to laptop repairing guy, that I know thanks to my Toshiba and he tells me all laptops are the same as they are manufactured in same factories with same components. Branding is just marketing. I wonder if it is true.

Okay, I've read all around that it's possible but it's totally not for a beginner. The thing is that yeah, maybe I do need a converter box but I'm not looking foward to use the backlight. I just want to get the display to show. Apparently my laptop lcd has 1 ground wire split into 3 and the port that was connected to the motherboard.

I'm thinking of just taking a guess with what wire goes to what on a cut off VGA cord. I mean, what do I got to lose? The lcd is nice and it last worked when the laptop last worked lol and if I can't use it, might as well experiment with it.

So is this possible? No backlight, just the lcd screen?

Let me know. And would this damage my computer? haha

for example, does a 2.0 ghz intel duo core processor drain more battery than a 1.6 ghz intel duo core processor?

I'm looking to buy a laptop with good battery life, so should I stick with 1.6 ghz w/ 2 gb of ram? or go for 2.0 ghz? I don't plan to use it for gaming or watching any movies, just for programming and homework/web browsing, thanks.

I have no idea what is the difference between a MB and GB. I was wondering which is bigger? If I see a computer that say it has a memory of 1 GB and another one that has a memory of 2048 MB which has bigger memory. Another question is what is a hard drive and what does it do? Thanks

If I put my hard drive form an Inspiron 6000, that is working fine, into a inspiron 6400, that has gotten "the blue screen of death"? Can this somehow fukk up my good hard drive and good computer or will it just run normally as if it was my 6000, in the 6400? I was wanting to install some ram onto my hp laptop because right now i have i think 256mb or ram installed and i was wondering because it has 2 slots with one of those slots taken already by the ram i have right now but i was wanting to buy a 1gb stick of ram to add to the second port, i know thats no problem i hope but the thing is, that can i go ahead and take out the old 256mb ram and install 2 1gb memory sticks in the available slots to upgrade my laptop without it going crazy and getting the blue screen of death?

Ok. Heres the problem. I have a laptop and it was working fine one day, I shut it down and about 2 days later I started it up again, but the screen remained black. You could hear all the noises during the startup, but again the screen stayed black. I don't know what to do about this. I bought the laptop early last year. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

So I'm watching a tv show right now (Firefly actually, great show, you should watch it, lol.), and about every 8 minutes or so the picture freezes up and the CD tray starts spinning agian. After about 3 seconds of fast spinning it seems to load the next 8 minutes or so and then turns off till next time.

And then it repetes...Its never done this before, but knowing vista, random problems are the norm.

Anyone have any ideas?
