I just bought a new MP3 player and it says that some USB port may not be powerful enough to charge the lithium battery, so I wanted to know what was the USB capacity for my computer.
It says that it needs an "High speed USB 2.0" or something like that...
The MP3 is an "Sansa e260 4.0 GB"
I just want to know if my computer is good enough for it. I'm not very good with computer you see.
So if you can help me out it would very much appreciated.
Thank you :)

The great thing about USB is that it is backwards compatable. An MP3 player with a USB 2.0 system will work with a computer with a USB 1.1 system, and vice versa. USB is neither the fastest nor most efficient system out there. However, it dominates the market due to the fact that it is universal!

So, yes. Your MP3 player will work with your laptop. (My Creative Zen (USB 2.0) works with my Presario 2100 (USB 1.1).

Good luck!

There is a way to check your hardware for the type of USB is currently being used by your system. There is a visual guide at the link provided below, that will probably answer your question.
