If I put my hard drive form an Inspiron 6000, that is working fine, into a inspiron 6400, that has gotten "the blue screen of death"? Can this somehow fukk up my good hard drive and good computer or will it just run normally as if it was my 6000, in the 6400? I wanna do this to c if the hard drive is the problem with the 6400, cuz if it is then I dont have to get another one..... thx in advance

'bsod' has nothing to do with your hard drive. you'll be fine

Hi. If the OS is Microsoft then the system hardware may prevent it from running. Part of the M$ pirating paranoia. You may have to reactivate.

you cannot do that swap about.

the reason is that the harddrive has the chipsets to work the original computer and all the drivers.

so when your change over to adiff puter you have to change all the drivers

it shouldnt..hard drives are pretty much the same except for size
